Sheryl Buckner PhD, RN, ANEF is an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She has taught undergraduate, graduate and now doctoral students at the University of Oklahoma since 1997. She was recognized as a fellow in the Academy of Nursing Education for her work in developing community partnerships in 2015. Since 2017, she has been actively involved in the university’s interprofessional organization.

Seminar Description: Sometimes after assessment, forward movement in a project dictates there exists a need for change in process, protocols, and/or personnel. This seminar addresses the importance of having an interdisciplinary team for the holistic development of healthcare educational experiences, and how to have a positive, professional conversation when changes are necessary. We will be using a case study for learners to problem-solve how to implement necessary changes when not every member of the team agrees.
