Connecting Through Creative Communications: A Nexus Open Mic Night

Nexus Summit 2023 includes many spaces for creating powerful connections through communication. A new feature this year is Connecting through Creative Communications: A Nexus Open Mic Night. This is an unique opportunity to deepen connections among Nexus attendees through music, art, poetry, spoken word, dance and other physical expression, narrative and stories, all within our virtual Nexus Summit environment. The goal is to expand our interpersonal communication beyond traditional academic formats through a variety of offerings that are accessible to all.

Join emcee James Ballard (University of Kentucky) to present your gift of creative communication, or to share in the gifts of our community. A few examples of gifts that will be shared are music, poetry about a patient experience, art on paper and canvas, and others. This free-flowing, informal gathering will give all of us an opportunity to have fun, share joy, and create communication together. The open mic event will be held through Zoom, with Zoom auto-transcription available.
