Dr. Convoy is a 20+ year veteran of the United States Navy with numerous professional distinctions to his credit. Upon military retirement in 2013, he now spends his time pursuing academic, clinical practice, public speaking, and writing interests. He is presently on faculty at Duke University leading its Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. He is considered an expert in advanced practice psychiatric - mental health nursing, cognitive therapy, mental illness prevention, and caregiver stress.
