Dr. Becky Piazza is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida Department of Occupational Therapy. Dr. Piazza has worked across multiple settings including the K-12 public school system and adult inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Dr. Piazza previously served as the clinical coordinator for therapy at UF Health Shands Rehab Hospital inpatient rehabilitation facility (Gainesville, FL), as a primary occupational therapist for the UF Health Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases concussion clinic (Gainesville, FL), and as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) (University of St. Augustine, FL). She is an active member the American Occupational Therapy Association, the American Occupational Therapy Political Action Committee, and the Florida Occupational Therapy Association

This Lightning Talk will describe an innovative interprofessional educational session with second year dental students and third year occupational therapy doctorate students. Students collaborated in a variety of activities to develop strategies to positively enhance the dental visit experience for individuals across the lifespan with sensory sensitivities or chronic pain.
