Nidhi Mahendra is a Professor of Communicative Disorders and Sciences at San Jose State University. A certified and state-licensed multilingual speech-language pathologist and clinical researcher, her areas of expertise are in adult and adolescent neurologically-based communicative disorders, health equity issues, and community-engaged scholarship. She is a co-founder of SJSU's Healthy Development Community Clinic (HDCC).

Poster Description: This presentation describes the background and launch of San José State University’s Healthy Development Community Clinic (HDCC), founded in 2019. The HDCC seeks to promote equity through holistic wellness for children, youth, and families. The HDCC presents a unique collaboration between clinical researchers in Child and Adolescent Development, Speech-Language Pathology, and Psychology.
