Natalya (Nat) Salganik is an immigrant from Moscow and was raised in NYC for over 16 years. She is presently completing her final year of study in the PharmD program at the University of Michigan. Nat is passionate about public health policy and improving healthcare access for underserved populations. Her research interests include: the impact of pharmacist-integrative services on healthcare access, equity, and quality within institutional settings, and the utility of interprofessional student-led initiatives across various practice settings. In addition to her professional leadership roles, she also serves as an organizational leader, advocate, and mentor within her community.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
Centers for IPE have had success in co-developing IPE curricula with student leaders, leading to more meaningful and relevant IPE for health professional students. IPE leaders have also bemoaned the “hidden curriculum” of experiential settings, often undoing the IPE advancements made in the didactic setting. While there is a new opportunity for IPE faculty and centers to transform interprofessional practice and experiential education, we have not discussed how to leverage our students as partners and co-developers in leading this change.
