Midge Bowers is a Clinical Professor and Lead Faculty for the cardiovascular specialty at Duke University School of Nursing and practices in the division of cardiology as a nurse practitioner. Her scholarly work is focused on patients with cardiovascular diseases interprofessional education and simulation. As an Associate in the American College of Cardiology and a certified health simulation educator she is the only nurse practitioner on the leadership team of the ACC simulation council. She is actively involved in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and recognized as a Fellow in AANP and the American Academy of Nursing.

Lightning Talk Description: We will discuss the development and implementation of a virtual, asynchronous, modular “Clinical Essentials of Telehealth” curriculum pilot designed for interprofessional health education students. Its current iteration includes eight modules focused on teaching the logistics of performing a telehealth visit and performing a systems-based virtual assessment.
