Dr. Will serves as the Assistant Dean of Clinical Programs and Accreditation within the College of Health Solutions and is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Science of Health Care Delivery. As Assistant Dean she provides oversight of all clinical programs and initiatives for the college including undergraduate and graduate programs-including both didactic, clinical rotations, clinical partnerships, community building, and meeting accreditation and regulatory standards. She also spears heads inter-institutional and regional community partnership to build an interprofessional community of training for health professions students. In addition to her administrative duties, she serves as an active faculty member with expertise in health systems science, interprofessional education and collaborative practice, and team-based care models of care for optimizing health outcomes.  

 

Prior to her tenure at ASU, she worked clinically as a senior Physician Assistant in the Division of Hospital Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to her experience in Hospital Medicine, she practiced in Cardiovascular Surgery and primary care. Along with her clinical duties, she was the Program Director of the Mayo Clinic in Arizona Post-graduate PA Fellowship in Hospital Internal Medicine and Assistant Professor in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.  She also served on the Mayo Clinic Arizona Education Committee and led the Mayo Clinic Arizona taskforce for interprofessional education and collaborative practice.

 

Dr. Will has served on multiple national organizations including past chair for the National Collaborative for Improving the Clinical Learning Environment (NCICLE), an ACGME affiliate organization focused in improving the clinical learning environment for all health professions. Dr. Will has also served as a past board member of the Association for Postgraduate Physician Assistant Programs (APPAP) and a health system board member for Steward Health in Arizona. Currently she serves on the Accreditation Review Commission for the education of Physician Assistants (ARC-PA) as an accreditation specialist.

Dr. Will obtained her PhD in Healthcare Innovation at ASU, Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Her research interests include interprofessional education/collaborative practice, healthcare delivery, team-based care models and the patient experience.

 

Dr. Will completed her undergraduate work in Biomedical Sciences at Western Michigan University in 1995 and her Physician Assistant training at Midwestern University, Downers Grove Campus in 1997.  She then completed her Master’s in Health Professions Education in 2001 at Midwestern University, Glendale Campus.
