Dr. Hampel-Kozar (she/her) is a Licensed Psychologist and longtime student affairs practitioner. She currently serves as the first Director of Student Wellbeing and Success in the College of Veterinary Medicine where she promotes the development of student wellbeing on individual and community levels. Dr. Hampel-Kozar previously served as the Director of Student Counseling Services (SCS), where she partnered with two Health Sciences units to establish embedded counseling resources in their units. Dr. Hampel-Kozar works closely with the College’s Embedded Counselor on programming and initiatives connected to promoting student mental health.

Lightning Talk Description:: Mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn and work well, and contribute to their community. Consistent with the Quadruple Aim, addressing wellbeing and preventing burnout are essential components of education and practice.
