Valdemar joined in 2023 the Interprofessional Health Mentors program in Brazil (collaboration with UBC) as a Psychology student at the Bahiana School of Medicine and Public Health. He also studies Physchotherapy (CPB). He holds a BA in Logistics (UNIFACS) and Master of Arts (MA) in Management from the University of Westminster in London. He has worked for more than twenty years strategically incorporating strengths to employees in both private and government sectors. He was one of the founders of Seethrough Theatre Company in the UK, that inspired people of all ages, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds.

For over 10 years, Patient & Community Partnership for Education has coordinated an Interprofessional Health Mentors program (HMP) at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada.
