Suzanne C. Smeltzer, EdD, RN, FAAN is Professor Emerita at Villanova University College of Nursing. She has led the efforts on inclusion of disability-related content and experiences, including those related to IDD, in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Villanova and national dissemination of strategies to address disability in nursing education and practice. She has published extensively on disability and education of health care professionals about disability ti improve the health and health care of individuals with disability.
