Shivani Jain is a third-year medical student at LSUHSC-NO SOM. She has training in biochemistry, sociology, global health, economic development, and cancer genetic epidemiology. She completed graduate and doctoral studies through the Marshall Scholars Fellowship at University College London, University of Cambridge, and the NIH. Shivani helped create the Interprofessional Scholars Program at LSUHSC-NO and was awarded the highest IPE honor given at her institution. She leads a nationally recognized IPE biomedical entrepreneurial team and serves her community as an Albert Schweitzer Fellow. Her current interests include Dermatology, General Surgery, and Gynecology with a focus on interprofessional collaboration.

Background: Interprofessional Education (IPE) is resource intensive. Based upon institutional resources, IPE can be challenging to develop, implement, and assess. To address these issues, the Louisiana Interprofessional Consortium held a statewide IPE event. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the event to identify its strengths and weaknesses for future IPE events.
