Sara Birdsall is a fourth-year medical student at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-New Orleans. She has a prior Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Sara has recently presented research in women’s health. She serves as a board member of the New Orleans Area Health Reproductive Project, which focuses on providing sexual education to local schools. Her plan is to pursue Anesthesiology with a focus in Obstetric Anesthesia.

Background: Interprofessional Education (IPE) is resource intensive. Based upon institutional resources, IPE can be challenging to develop, implement, and assess. To address these issues, the Louisiana Interprofessional Consortium held a statewide IPE event. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the event to identify its strengths and weaknesses for future IPE events.
