Dr.Sharif-Sandel is a Physician-Scientist trained in Surgical Pathology. As a Canadian Bureau for International Education Clinical Scholar, she earned an M.Sc in Radiation Cancer Biology and Oncology from Colorado State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Cell Biology from OUHSC. She has published in various journals and is on multiple journal editorial boards. She currently serves as the OUHSC IPE Project Coordinator and campus administrator of the Faculty Activity System, a project that assists faculty with their annual evaluations and provides documentation for accreditation reports. She is also leading the IPE Program Evaluation team in data collection, processing, and reporting.
