Rebekah Serrett is a third-year nursing student at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-New Orleans. She is a current member of the school’s Student Nurses Association and has spent her summers as an intern in quality and performance improvement departments in local New Orleans hospitals. After graduation Rebekah plans on attaining her master’s degree in hospital administration.

Background: Interprofessional Education (IPE) is resource intensive. Based upon institutional resources, IPE can be challenging to develop, implement, and assess. To address these issues, the Louisiana Interprofessional Consortium held a statewide IPE event. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the event to identify its strengths and weaknesses for future IPE events.
