Meghan Potthoff is an Endowed Chair and Associate Professor in Creighton’s College of Nursing. Her research focuses on palliative care, pediatric hospital-based care, and rural health equity for pediatric patients. As part of her doctoral study, Dr. Potthoff created a pediatric version of the Go Wish Together card game, which serves as a nationally-available resource for parents and families to identify priorities for their child suffering from serious illness. Dr. Potthoff went on to be funded by the Cambia Foundation as a Sojourn’s Scholar and is currently a funded Great Plains Early Career Investigator.

Lightning Talk Description:  Background/Purpose: Lawyers and financial planners are more often sought for estate directives than primary care providers for end-of life planning. A comprehensive, interprofessional approach to advance care planning (ACP) addressing medical and non-medical decision-making for aging adults is needed.
