Meaghan A. Clapp, MHSc, PA-C a full-time faculty instructor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies since 2018, is currently coordinating courses in patient care, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and otolaryngology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Cell Sciences at the University of Florida in 2007. She completed her Master of Health Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Duke University in 2012. She practices emergency medicine at a busy satellite clinic serving an urban health center in East Boston. She thoroughly enjoys serving a diverse and underserved population with a focus on interprofessional collaboration and healthcare navigation.

Lightning Talk Description: The health consequences of climate change and the social determinants of health have emerged as major public health concerns that disproportionately impact our low-income and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities. Health professionals are in a unique position to address them, yet health professions education programs fail to include this essential content in the curriculum.
