Dr. Leah Mallory is the Medical Director of the Hannaford Center for Safety, Innovation and Simulation for the MaineHealth system and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts University School of Medicine. She divides her professional time equally between Pediatric Hospital Medicine at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center and the simulation center where she's served as a simulation educator since 2010 and as Medical Director of the Simulation Center since 2019.

Lightning Talk Description: Medical misinformation, disinformation, and vaccine hesitancy led to excess deaths and a public health crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to influence many individuals’ critical health decisions. Vaccine hesitancy is not unique to the pandemic, but social media has made it easier to spread misinformation and disinformation.
