Kristin Dickerson is the Program Director for the Duke Academy of Health Professions Education and Academic Development (AHEAD) program. She has been with the program since its launch in 2014 and serves as a liaison between Academy members and Duke AHEAD leadership. She is responsible for the planning, development, and coordination of faculty development activities. She is the primary communicator and content curator for Duke AHEAD communications including the website, newsletter, blog, and listserv. She also serves as the financial administrator and develops and maintains the academy’s annual budget.

Seminar Description: Leadership has often been described as “…the abominable snowman whose footprints are everywhere but who is nowhere to be seen.” (1) Early to mid-career education leaders who wish to develop personal, organizational, and professional skills in management of teams, programs, and curriculum often do not receive any training or onboarding as they begin their leadership roles (2).
