Dr. Krista Estes, DNP, FNP-BC is an Associate Professor and Division Chair for Adult and Senior Health at the University of Colorado College of Nursing. She acts as the nursing program representative to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Interprofessional Practice and Education Council. For over 8 years, she previously served as a Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty Director. As a sought-after expert, Dr. Estes shares her knowledge and skills with a non-profit organization dedicated to providing competence assessments and education services for healthcare providers. Additionally, she works clinically in the Urgent Care setting. Her extensive scholarship work encompasses diverse areas such as simulation, interprofessional education, curriculum revision, telehealth, and skin/soft tissue infections. In her multifaceted roles as an educator, practitioner, and consultant, Dr. Krista Estes continues to shape the field of nursing, improving healthcare outcomes, and inspiring future healthcare professionals.
