Dr. Kim Fenesy is Vice Dean of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. She earned her D.M.D. degree from NJDS (1986) and Periodontics’ specialty certificate from BUSDM (1988). In 2001, she became Associate Dean-Student Affairs, then Associate & Senior Associate Dean-Academic Affairs (2012, 2014) and as Vice continues to oversee these officesas well as the Office of Institutional Assessment and Quality Improvement . She co-chaired the Rutger Biomedical Health Sciences IPE Strategic Planning Committee and was appointed as a inaugural member of the IPE Faculty Advisory Council. She was PI of a 1.75M HRSA grant: “Special Populations Interprofessional Care Experiences," focused on IPE experiences for dental, medical, nursing, nutrition, pharmacy, public health, and social work students. Recently, she was appointed to the IPEC Core Competency Revision Working Group representing dentistry and the American Dental Education Association.

Lightning Talk Description: Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, in collaboration with six health professions schools at Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), hosts students preparing to enter independent clinical practice in the Special Populations Interprofessional Care Experiences (SPICE) case conferences.
