Dr. JoAn Stanek has been a nurse for 38 years. She obtained her DNP from ECU in 2019 and continues to teach in the undergraduate nursing program at UNC-CH as a Clinical Associate Professor. In addition to teaching, Dr. Stanek decided to pursue a lifelong passion for end-of-life care and has worked as a per diem staff nurse in an inpatient hospice facility for the past 10 years.
