Jennifer Jessen serves as the Executive Director of the Center of Interprofessional Practice Education and Research (CIPER) for Creighton University. As a CIPER faculty member, she provides resources for students, faculty and clinicians on interprofessional education (IPE) and support both didactic and clinical interprofessional activities for faculty and students. She has ten years of experience working with students, faculty, and clinicians developing instructional strategies in both the didactic and clinical settings.

Background/Purpose: Lawyers and financial planners are more often sought for estate directives than primary care providers for end-of life planning. A comprehensive, interprofessional approach to advance care planning (ACP) addressing medical and non-medical decision-making for aging adults is needed. Seminar Description: The need for intentionally structured IPE experiences with clear goals and metrics across the learning continuum has been nationally and repeatedly endorsed.
