Jennifer Jacobs is currently a fourth year medical student at Duke University School of Medicine. She is also a co-founder of Healthy STEPS, a student run initiative that aims to provide financial and emotional assistance to the residents of Durham, NC as means to increase physical activity. She plans to pursue a career in dermatology following graduation.

Interprofessional Student Poster Description: Regular exercise has countless health benefits, but many patients face significant barriers to participation including environmental, motivational, and especially socioeconomic. Although dedicated exercise programs exist in Durham, North Carolina for children and seniors of lower socioeconomic status, there are limited initiatives for adults.
