Dr. Borckardt is a Clinical Psychologist with training and expertise in pain psychology, pain neurophysiology, pain management, neurostimulation, and functional MRI. He has faculty appointments in the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, and Stomatology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He also serves as the Assistant Provost for Interprofessional Initiatives which affords him opportunities to bring together diverse groups of individuals for the purposes of enhancing the impact of interprofessionalism and teamwork in education, research and clinical service delivery at the University.

Lightning Talk Description: The rate of digital implementation in health care is far exceeding the rate of digital health literacy among our faculty and students, yet our students need to be prepared for collaborative practice in a health care landscape that will see significant disruption due to technological advances.
