Heather Hageman is the inaugural director of the Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education at Washington University Medical Campus, a collaboration of Goldfarb School of Nursing, the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Hageman has 30 years’ experience in medical education strategic planning, program and outcomes assessment, accreditation, and project management. She is an accomplished presenter, past co-chair of the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative Organizational Models Task Force and Leadership Workgroup, and a member of several organizations including the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Group on Educational Affairs.

Seminar Description: The seminar will provide a platform to share how interprofessional leaders are supporting some of the priority areas of the National Plan for Health Workforce Well-Being. The National Plan for Health Workforce Well-Being (National Academy of Medicine, 2022) describes “changes needed across the health system and at the organizational level to improve the well-being of the health workforce.” The National Plan includes seven priority areas and advocates that health worker well-being requires support from multiple units, including academic institutions or training programs.…
