Gayle M. Timmerman PhD, CNS, FNAP, FAAN has been involved in research focused on interprofessional education along with work related to eating patterns, weight, and dietary adherence. Dr. Timmerman has taught graduate and undergraduate nursing courses in health promotion and regularly guest lectures on topics of binge eating, weight management, behavior change, and interprofessonal collaborative practice competencies. As a core member of the Steering Committee for the UT Austin Center for Health Interprofessional Practice and Education, she has been part of a team leading interprofessional education for health professionals on campus.

Lightning Talk Description: Dual identity development has been proposed to be central to interprofessional collaborative practice. This requires the formation of an interprofessional identity along with professional identity development.
