Erin Burton obtained her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing her DVM, she completed a Masters in Biomedical Sciences in infectious disease, and residency in veterinary clinical pathology from University of Missouri. After residency, she joined the CVM teaching infectious disease and clinical pathology while continuing to practice clinical pathology and parasitology. In 2022, she became the Senior Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs. In her student affairs role, she supports and oversees the curriculum, student advocacy, and wellbeing. Her current areas of research involve competency-based education and understanding how imposter phenomenon influences learning.
