Dr. Elena Riccio Leach is a full-time Assistant Professor at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. She is assistant leader in the clinical general dentistry group practices and director of the Introduction to Patient Care course in the sophomore year and of the Clinical Patient Management course for the junior dental students.
Her service commitments, among others, include being part of the LINC Clinical IPE group with the intent of researching and informing best practices in clinical interprofessional education at the university level.
Dr. Riccio Leach also practices as a provider at the UT Dentistry Faculty Practice Clinic.

Poster Description: Background: While critical to improving learning and health care outcomes, large-scale clinical interprofessional education (IPE) within authentic clinical learning environments (CLEs) remains challenging.
