Dylan Barber is a doctoral student in neuroscience at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is passionate about understanding the mechanisms of neurodevelopmental diseases and is currently researching the amyloid precursor protein (APP). Using his background in medical physics and neurodevelopmental biology, he engages in events small and large aimed at creating a more interdisciplinary colloquium. To this end, he has helped organize, moderate, and participated in the annual GREAT Debate aimed at tackling tough health policy conversations from the viewpoints of OUHSC’s 7 professional and academic colleges.

Lightning Talk Description: The annual Graduate Research Education and Technology (GREAT) Symposium highlights major focus areas in biomedical and health sciences while allowing students and trainees to present individual research and engage with OUHSC's diverse campus community, comprised of 7 distinct colleges and numerous disciplines.
