Dan has 33 years of nursing experience with 15 years of direct community health care in interprofessional practice environments and over 15 years in education that has promoted involvement of baccalaureate nursing students in IPE/IPC initiatives. Since 2018 Dan has been part of a community-based student-infused pulmonary rehabilitation program where pre-licensure students from four health disciplines deliver care to persons with COPD under the supervision of registered respiratory therapists and clinical instructors. Dan’s current focus is on curriculum design with teaching and learning strategies that utilize experiential learning for pre-licensure students to develop entry-to-practice competencies that includes IPE in community settings.
