Dr. Benedicte Gonzalez is an Assistant Professor at Marshal B. Ketchum University. Serving in the capacity of clinical faculty at Ketchum Health and is representing Optometry in the IPE curriculum. Dr. Gonzalez is a University of Southern California alumni, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and a Master of Public Health. Thereafter she made her way out to Chicago where she attended Illinois College of Optometry. Following graduation, she completed a residency in Ocular Disease at the VA Healthcare System in Las Vegas, NV. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Seminar Description: The Steering Committee for Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry’s Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (IPECP) Special Interest Group, which is composed of optometric educators throughout the United States, converted a traditional Summit format to a hybrid series. The Summit was presented throughout 2023 in a 5-part format with 4 virtual sessions and a culminating in-person meeting aligned with a national meeting (American Academy of Optometry Meeting).
