A self-determined changemaker, Azaria Lewis is a Med-Peds Intern at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System who is committed to anti-racism initiatives and actionable solutions to improve health-food access in food deserts. As founding President of WesternU COMP’s chapter of WC4BL, she has collaborated with University decision-makers and nationally with the accreditation body for all osteopathic medical colleges to construct medical environments that produce future health sciences professionals edified in cultural humility and anti-racism. She is most passionate about her ongoing contribution to the scientific literature encompassing food deserts and food insecurity.

Background:
