Ashleigh currently is a Clinical Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy at Clarkson University. She has experience treating patients in multiple clinical settings including acute care and mental health. Her area of expertise includes advocating for and promoting preventative mental health services within the community setting. She is the Chair of the IPE committee and is working on increasing interprofessional educational opportunities for graduate healthcare students to enable effective collaboration between disciplines to improve health outcomes. Ashleigh has previously completed research in mental health focusing on the use of comfort rooms to reduce restraint and seclusion.

Lightning Talk Description: This lightning talk will describe the launching of formal, centralized interprofessional education (IPE) at Clarkson University through the adaptation and implementation of Team Care Planning (TCP). TCP is a simulated clinical discharge planning meeting where students experience working in an interprofessional team to plan the discharge of a patient from the hospital.
