Dr. Amy Barton, Professor and Daniel and Janet Mordecai Endowed Chair in Rural Health Nursing, serves as Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Students at the University of Colorado, College of Nursing. She is known nationally for her work in implementing and evaluating interprofessional nurse-led models of care, faculty practice, quality and safety, and community partnerships. She is Editor of the Journal of Nursing Education. Dr. Barton is a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academies of Practice, and holds fellowship in the American Academy of Nursing, the Western Academy of Nursing, and the NLN Academy of Nurse Educators.
