Amy Akerman, MPAS, PA-C, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant (CHA/PA) Program at the University of Colorado. She has served as an Assistant Director for the CU Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (CU CIPE) at the Anschutz Medical Campus since 2016. She is a member of the IPEC Core Competencies Revisioning Working Group and is the co-director for CHA/PA’s Foundations in Prevention, Advocacy and Professional Practice courses. Amy's scholarship interests include interprofessional education, PA professional advocacy, health and educational equity.
