Working Together for Impact: Converting New Knowledge to Action
Throughout The Nexus Summit, we are striving to impact health and learning outcomes that matter within your local communities and across our states, regions and countries by testing new ideas, sharing outcomes of new models and advancing interprofessional practice and education.
During this two-part closing session, Nexus Summit attendees and Moving to Action Launch Party participants will explore key take-aways from the Summit and convert those ideas to action.
Synthesis Session
During the Synthesis Session, National Center leaders will delve into key points that emerge, address difficult questions that arise and challenge our community to move into the new paradigm of Knowledge-Based Leadership (IPE Version 5.0). Participants will be invited to accept a call for a Commitment to Action to advance IPE outcomes that matter locally.
National Center leaders contributing to this panel include:
- Christine Arenson, MD, Director
- Barbara F. Brandt, PhD, Founding Director and Senior Advisor
- Connie Delaney, PhD, RN, FAAN, FACMI, Knowledge Generation Lead and Dean, University of Minnesota School of Nursing
After participating in this session, attendees will:
- Synthesize learning to enhance local interprofessional practice and education initiatives from across the Nexus Summit.
- Consider options for using accessible local data sources to measure outcomes of their interprofessional practice and education initiatives.
- Commit to one tangible action they will take away from the Summit and apply at home.
Moving to Action Launch Party
Following the Synthesis Session, teams registered for the Moving to Action Launch Party will be invited to kick off their local action planning session. Local teams will have 75 minutes to meet with their local teams to debrief and discuss next steps to advance local Nexus initiatives. All Moving to Action Launch Party teams will be asked to draft their Commitment to Action.
Following the Launch Party action planning session, all teams will reconvene as a national group to share their local Commitments to Action statements and learn more about the exclusive Moving to Action Learning Community.
